Position Title: Training Manager
Salary: $28 - $31 per hour
Expected Weekly Hours: 40 (Summer) – 45+ (peak season)

Overview:

Uniconcepts is introducing a dynamic new position to further elevate the guest experience and team performance across Gentle Ben's, Agave House, and Bacio Italiano. The Training Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of training programs for both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff across all three restaurants.

This role blends hands-on training development with operational leadership, combining up to half the weekly schedule with active floor management duties. Successful candidates will refine existing SOPs, build structured testing protocols using 1Huddle, and create long-term development plans that support excellence at every level of service. On high-demand weeks, this role may shift entirely to operational support as needed.

Responsibilities:

Training Program Development & Execution

  • Fine-tune current training programs, SOPs, and testing protocols for FOH and BOH roles
  • Utilize 1Huddle to build and manage engaging, app-based training games for staff development
  • Create comprehensive development plans for continued expectations and performance standards
  • Establish and maintain a staff training tracking system, reporting regularly to upper management
  • Develop onboarding materials and facilitate orientation for new hires
  • Maintain current certifications and integrate compliance into training content (e.g., Title 4, ServSafe)

Staff Development & Performance Monitoring

  • Provide on-site training support and coaching across all three restaurants
  • Monitor staff performance and training retention, offering individual feedback when necessary
  • Coordinate with General Managers and Kitchen Managers to identify skill gaps and improvement areas
  • Document performance insights and training outcomes via 7shifts or similar platforms

Operational Support

  • Serve as Floor Manager for one location 2–3 days a week; additional shifts may be required during peak periods
  • Contribute to team leadership, culture building, and guest experience on the floor
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing communication with FOH/BOH teams

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in training, restaurant operations, or hospitality leadership
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with training platforms such as 1Huddle, scheduling tools like 7shifts, and POS systems like Toast
  • Up-to-date certifications including Food Handler, Title 4, and Title 4 Management
  • Ability to multitask across locations and teams while maintaining organization and follow-through
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
